Gender Data Driving Business Decisions

About the Data learning series

Data2X and the Financial Alliance for Women are pleased to launch a Gender Data Learning Series designed to equip financial services providers with the skills needed to effectively use sex- disaggregated data to inform business decisions.

The Learning Series will feature guest experts with experience developing successful sex- disaggregated data strategies, presentations of use cases and best practice tools, and opportunities for peer learning with fellow participants working at FSPs around the world.

The Learning Series is being convened as part of the Women’s Financial Inclusion Data (WFID) Partnership—a coalition of global organizations working to increase the awareness and use of women’s financial inclusion data.

Who Attends

Participants include representatives from financial services providers, regulated commercial banks, sophisticated NBFIs, fintechs, and other private sector players interested in developing better financial experiences for women.
The program is designed for teams looking to enhance their sex-disaggregated data analytics. This includes data practitioners (i.e. business intelligence team members), as well as women’s market managers and senior business decision-makers.
It is recommended that each FSP attending the series nominate at least two personnel to attend: Ideally a combination of the business intelligence/ IT team and segment teams. Business intelligence practitioners are expected to participate in the full four-week course; while senior business leaders will participate in only the first and last sessions, focused on how to use gender data analytics inform decision making.

The series consists of weekly 90-minute live webinars held every Thursday via Zoom from June 9th through June 30th.
Additionally, business intelligence participants will be required to complete four 90-minute “on-your-own” modules between sessions, which cover in-depth content on the processes of gender data collection and use.

How To Register

Participation is by invitation only. The deadline for applications is MAY 31, 2022. Apply as soon as possible as spots are limited. There is n  o cost to attend—however, attendees will be selected based on the relevance of the course to their job function and are expected to participate throughout the entire learning journey.
